Welcome to our wiki.

What is a wiki?

A website that allows members to view and edit content collaboratively. Some of the creative, descriptive names for wikis:
  • collaborative stories
  • FlyPaperForIdeas
  • open, three dimensional ThreeRingBinders
  • a modern-day Palimpsest

What's with the silly name?

Ward Cunningham, Oregon programmer, developed the software and coined the usage. It comes from Hawaiian for "quick."

1. Watch this video to give you an overview of wikis and what they can do: http://www.commoncraft.com/video-wikis-plain-english
2. Create a page by clicking "new page" at the right navigation.
3. Name your page FirstnameLastinitial with the words bumped against each other and make the tags "beautiful knowledge" and "[your first name]". My page, for example, would be camilleb. (Note: your first name should be the one we call you in class.)
